Essential Questions within Macbeth

Is ones self worth constant or ever changing?

I believe that ones self worth is ever changing, all the events in your life affect how you see your self and ultimately your self worth. We see many examples of this within Macbeth. When Macbeth finds out the prophecy and becomes king his self worth was raised. While when he killed Duncan, or when he was hallucinating and feeling guilting for Banquo's death, his self worth was decreased. We also see another example of this when Lady Macbeth starts to go insane from the guilt, and in the end her self worth goes through the floor and leads to her killing herself.

  1. ONe's self worth is often in flux. I don't know if it is as drastic as what we have seen here. I think the stronger your self worth is the more stable it is . What do think? You ahve brought in some good examples to show how the characters selworth is changing. DO you think they all led false face in the first place. Look how easliy M was manipultated.
