I rather the book =P

The differences I saw between Macbeth the movie and Macbeth the book were that in the opening scene, the movie didn’t show thunder and lightning like the book described. Also, in the first scene the book just describes the witches talking in this deserted place, while in the movie they burry a dead hand holding onto a dagger. Other than that it was hard for me to find any other differences because the movie was hard to follow for me.

For me reading the book was easier because on Friday I was extremely tired and the darkness of the classroom made it hard for me to concentrate on the movie. The book is also easy to understand because it has a brief summary of each act at the beginning of each act, and because on the left hand side of each page there are definitions to explain what things mean.

I prefer the book because it is something I can do on my own time at my own pace. It is also something that if I am lost or don’t understand I can stop and look it up rather than when we are watching a movie as a class I can’t make the whole class stop the movie and look something up. It is also easier for me to do when I can concentrate, not tired. Plus it wouldn’t be dark when I am trying to read so I wouldn’t almost fall asleep while reading like I did while watching the movie.

  1. Hello! =) I definitely agree what your statements!!! I like the way you understand the book very well, and I had also thought of some of the same differences! =) I actually prefer the movie over the book, but that's cool that you like the book better =P
